• Inexpensive, quality dockage (often behind homes), where the boat can be regularly visited and cared for. 
• Scheduled care (wash, wax, varnish, divers, teak, etc)
• Equipment / machinery upgrades and repair
• Trips to the boat yard for hauling out
• Surveys and survey punch-list improvements
• Relocating the yacht to local marinas or destinations such as Bahamas or Keys – then bringing her home when your cruising is done
