Accommodations

Starting forward in the Main Salon (wide-body for extra full-beam volume), all of the wood paneling has been upgraded to satin-finished dark Cherry wood during a major refit in 2010.   The soft goods, including beige, sculpted carpet and chairs have been renewed as well.  Two long sofas form an L-shaped arrangement along the port aft salon with a large coffee table.  A sculpted soffit style overhead is covered with beige vinyl and features direct and accent lighting. Forward is a dining table and chairs to seat 6-8 with a wetbar (with storage for fine crystal) on the forward wall.  Additionally, two desks built-in to port and starboard along with built-in storage cabinets along each wall.    Silhouette window treatments and decorative mullion panels complete this area.

Moving forward, wing doors on the port and starboard sides access the walkarounds to the foredeck.  To port is a stairway down to the owner’s stateroom.  To starboard is a walkway to the galley, with a dayhead and a stairway up to the pilothouse.

The galley is forward, featuring a large, country-kitchen layout.  To starboard and forward is access to the crew area, complete with crew mess and settee (with Pullman berth), two cabins (forward stacked bunks and captain’s cabin with a single berth.

The Master stateroom is forward, full-beam with a centerline king-sized bed and a full-beam, split his/hers bath behind it – divided by a jacuzzi tub with a shower. The décor on the lower deck is whitewashed oak (can be easily upgraded to match the main deck finish), featuring plenty of closet and drawer space.

Aft of the master stateroom is access to a full-beam engine room.

The Guest staterooms are reached via a stairway on the starboard side of the salon and feature two guest cabins, each with twin beds and private baths (all baths feature corian countertops)

Galley

The galley on the forward main deck is arranged as a country kitchen style with informal dining opening to the galley area.  A large L-shaped settee and table provides seating for 8.  A  U-shaped Corian countertop provides plenty of workspace along with ample (white finish) cabinetry for storage. The galley was redecorated in 2010.  The galley sole (and foyer walkway) is varnished teak and holly.  Window treatments include wood blinds. Additional pantry storage is found in the access to the crew area to starboard.

Hull & Deck Equipment

The hull was extended aft in (2004) to include extending the flybridge deck aft (completely covers the aft deck) and to make space for two RIB tenders with separate davits. The flybridge bulwarks were moved outboard to create more usable entertaining space above.   A 6’ cockpit (with swim platform and transom door) was added along with extra fuel capacity (1100 usg). The rudders were also increased in size.  The engineering was provided by Murray and Associates in Fort Lauderdale and the project was undertaken at Lauderdale Marine center by Transform Yachts .

The flybridge is accessed by a portside stairway in the pilothouse and by a ladder on the aft deck.  A flybridge helm (with clear view to the foredeck) with two pedestal chairs (recovered 2010) is forward under a large bimini top (2008) that extends back to the arch.  To port is a wetbar and a large settee (new tan-colored sunbrella covered cushions 2010) surrounds the area under the bimini with tables to accommodate a large gathering in comfort.  A center opening allows for access to the boat deck area which can handle two 14’ RIBS or PWC’s (movable chocks).  Also featured is a teak furniture collection including 3 lounge chairs, 2 chairs (all with cushions and pillows) and 2 tables (2010).  The covered aft deck has two teak chairs.

The foredeck is protected by a low bulwark (with access doors on either side for tide-ride stairs) with a varnished teak caprail and stainless stanchions supporting teak handrails.  Two aluminum dunnage boxes are built-in to the foredeck, as is a sunpad with storage beneath.

The aft deck area features teak decking with a ladder to the flybridge and enormous storage larzarette (with diamond plate flooring).  Extra storage is found in the ‘wings’ of the cockpit area.

Remarks

“Think B.I.G” is a remarkable example of the high quality Burger line of yachts with timeless styling, made even better with an extended flybridge (also bulwarks moved for more room) and a cockpit.  Her interior accommodations have a split master from the guest quarters with crew forward, allowing for privacy.  The interior main deck was recently renovated with satin-finished cherrywood and carpet. The electronics and appliances have been continuously upgraded.  She has been well-maintained by a professional captain and is ready to cruise anywhere with terrific seakeeping and comfort, with the Burger pedigree of superior yacht-building.
